ABSTRACT
Objectives:
Given the constraints on length, the primary objective of this work is to outline the conditions for information security within the framework of developing protection for a modern and evolving public administration. The rapid growth of e-services provided by public administration, a trend observed for some time, simultaneously necessitates the strengthening of security for the information it manages.

Methods:
Among the research methods and approaches employed, the descriptive method played a significant role. A verification method was used to draw conclusions based on the observations made and the research conducted. The research process also incorporated a retrospective (ex post) analysis, as well as a dogmatic-legal method, the primary objective of which was the interpretation of legal provisions and a review of the available literature on the subject.

Results:
The premises examined indicate that there has been clear progress in the area of technological change within public administration, which is actively utilizing communication and electronic tools. A highly positive outcome is the quite dynamic increase in the availability of e-services. However, this process must be continuously accompanied by the necessity to ensure the proper protection of the information being managed.

Conclusions:
The key conclusions drawn from the analysis and research point to the need to build data protection within public administration as a fundamental component of digitalization - a process that encompasses not only the implementation of modern technologies but also the management of the entire organization. Furthermore, it is essential to pursue an intensified information and educational policy aimed at strengthening information security systems.
