Publication rules

The editorial team of “Cybersecurity and Law” requires authors, reviewers and editors to comply with the journal’s ethical policy at every stage of the publication process.
The publication process follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Articles must be submitted at https://www.editorialsystem.com/cal. Submissions to “Cybersecurity and Law” in any other form, including by post or email, are not accepted.

Each submitted article undergoes an internal assessment of its formal compliance and substantive content. The Copyright Declaration and Licence Agreement must bear the handwritten signatures of all authors of the work. Incomplete documentation or failure to comply with the journal’s requirements will result in the manuscript being returned to the author for completion or revision.

Publication of an article in a given issue is conditional on favourable reviews. If a large number of articles are scheduled for a particular issue, the editorial team reserves the right to move a manuscript to a subsequent issue. An article that does not align with the journal’s mission and scope may be rejected during the peer review and selection process.

The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts and edit accepted submissions. The final decision to accept a manuscript, accept it subject to revision or reject it on the basis of the concerns raised is not subject to appeal.

Where revisions are required, the author must revise the manuscript in accordance with reviewers’ suggestions and address all comments from the editorial team.
After completing the revisions, the author must upload the revised article to the Editorial System by the specified deadline.
By choosing to publish in “Cybersecurity and Law”, the author consents to the electronic archiving of the text in the relevant repository and databases with which the journal cooperates.
